ALABAMA

The deadline to hand-deliver your register and vote in the presidential primary is Monday, February 16, mail registration forms must be postmarked by February 17. The deadline to register electronically is February 19.

ALASKA

The Republican Presidential Caucus will be held on Tuesday, March 5.

To participate in Alaska’s Republican Party presidential caucus, you must be registered as a Republican and you must vote in person. There is no deadline to register, but if declaring your party affiliation the day of the caucus, you must provide proof of your voter registration.

ARKANSAS

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary has passed. 

Early voting begins on Wednesday, February 20, and ends on Monday, March 4.

CALIFORNIA

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Tuesday, February 20. *After the regular deadline, citizens can register and vote (conditionally) in person at their county elections office, polling place, or vote center through Election Day, Tuesday, March 5.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or your county elections office. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by March 12, 2024. 

COLORADO

The deadline to register to vote online and by mail is Monday, February 26

If you miss the deadline, you may register in-person at a voter service and polling center in your county through Election Day, Tuesday, March 5.

Early voting begins on Monday, February 26 through Election Day, Monday, March 4. 

IDAHO

In order to participate in the Idaho Republican Presidential Caucus, you must have been registered to vote in Idaho and affiliated as a Republican before December 31, 2023. Any voters who turn 18 between January 1 and the date of the Presidential Caucus and who sign an affidavit declaring that they have registered to vote and affiliate with the Republican Party within that period, are able to participate in the caucus.

MAINE

The deadline to register to vote by mail or online for the presidential primary is Tuesday, February 13. There is no cut-off date for registering to vote in person at your town office or city hall. 

Early voting begins as soon as ballots are available and lasts through Thursday, February 29. 

MASSACHUSSETTS

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Saturday, February 24

Early voting begins on Saturday, February 24, and lasts through Friday, March 1. 

MISSOURI

The deadline to register to vote for the Republican caucus is Monday, February 19 online or through your local county clerk.

Caucusing begins at 10 AM. Find a caucus location here

MINNESOTA

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Tuesday, February 13

Same-day voter registration is offered in person at your polling location on Election Day. 

Early voting is happening now and lasts through Monday, March 4. 

NORTH CAROLINA

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Friday, February 9

If you miss the deadline, same-day voting and registration is available at early voting sites in your county during the early voting period, but not on Election Day.

Early voting begins on Thursday, February 15, and lasts through Saturday, March 2. 

OKLAHOMA

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Friday, February 9

Early voting begins on Thursday, February 29, and ends on Saturday, March 2. 

TENNESSEE

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary has passed

Early voting begins on Wednesday, February 14, and ends on Tuesday, February 27. 

TEXAS

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary has passed

Early voting begins on Tuesday, February 20, and ends on Friday, March 1. 

UTAH

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Friday, February 23. Same day voter registration is available on election day by visiting a vote center in person. 

Early voting begins on Tuesday, February 20, and ends on Friday, March 1. — dates and times vary.

VERMONT

Vermont has same day voter registration — all eligible persons may register to vote on any day up to and including Election Day. 

VIRGINIA

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential primary is Monday, February 12. Voters may register after this date, through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot.

Early voting is happening now and ends on Saturday, March 2.
